Hello, my name is Brayden Clayburn. I am a junior studying Economics with a Certificate of Applied Finance in Economics (CAFE). I joined ASSOU because I wanted to make a positive impact here at SOU. Through initiatives, events, and projects, I can work to improve the student experience, advocate for student rights and needs, and address critical issues. What I’m excited about and my main focus is growing ASSOU’s presence by collaborating with student organizations, engaging with the student body, and advocating for students’ rights and needs. Building partnerships with faculty and administration. Utilizing social media and online platforms and connecting with other student governments are effective strategies to expand ASSOU’s influence. By actively pursuing these initiatives, I can contribute to the growth and impact of ASSOU on campus and at the state level.

As Vice President, I hope to make a greater impact on our student body and truly help make positive changes within SOU. If you have any questions please contact me or come visit in the ASSOU lounge during my office hours.

If you have a suggestion or would like to talk please feel free to contact me!
I was inspired to become a member of the ASSOU team by a mentor who told me I should apply and put the skills I have to use. I was also interested in this position because I want to make the SOU campus and community as good a place as possible.
