The Student Union

Stevenson Union, also known as the student union or the SU, is a community hub at SOU and a multipurpose center for student life. The SU provides educational, cultural, social, recreational, leadership programs, and services to enhance students’ academic experience and foster campus pride.

Stevenson Union offers venues for the diverse needs and activities of the campus and larger community. The SU is funded by the student incidental fee and was constructed in 1972. It is named after SOU President Elmo Stevenson, who served from 1946-1969.
