Attending orientation is an important and useful step to joining the Raider family. The information and resources shared during the week is advantageous for all first year, transfer, and returning SOU students.
Winter Orientation was held from January 9 – 18, 2023. View the schedule below to see what important activities were available:

5 – 8pm Campus Rec Winter Welcome (Student Recreation Center)
Welcome new Raiders! Come visit the SRC and check out all that Campus Rec has to offer during our Winter Welcome. We’ll be hosting Open Climb in the Climbing Center, drop-in Rec Sports in the gym, snacks, facility tours, and more!
Wednesday - January 11, 2023
11:30am – 2pm All In New Year Luncheon (SJEC, SU 308)
Please join the the Social Justice and Equity Center staffs as we welcome new students, and returnees, during the All In New Year Luncheon in SU 308. This is an opportunity for new students, staff, allies & friends to break bread and share the energy that comes from starting off a new year with new people and new energy. LUNCH IS FREE! Bring a smile and an appetite. RSVP for the free lunch here.

12 – 2pm Paint and Sip with Bob Ross Presented by EPIC (SU 202)
Come express your creativity and sip some warm drinks! Paint along with Bob Ross or create your own beautiful artwork.

11am – 2pm Club Involvement Fair (SU 203)
All Students are invited to head over to the Stevenson Union to learn about our over 40 active student clubs and campus departments! Club Involvement Fair will be held 11:00am-2pm on January 18 in the Stevenson Union Rogue River Room, and is where students can find all of the fun ways to get involved in student clubs, unions, and with campus departments. Various student organizations and campus departments will have booths that you can visit to learn more and find that perfect organization to join!
