For specific questions about the application process or general Board of Trustees questions, please reach out to University Board Secretary Sabrina Prud’homme at prudhomms@sou.edu. ASSOU plans to provide a recommendation or recommendations for the position. It is not a requirement, and any SOU undergraduate student can apply. However, a recommendation from the student governing body will be helpful in the application process. ASSOU will vote on which applicants will be recommended to the Governor’s office during Fall Term. However, it is important to note that you do not need to be endorsed by ASSOU to apply for the position. The Governor will make their selection in December, upon which, an appointment will be made and further confirmation by the legislature also is necessary.
